  • Eight OPEC+ countries will meet to discuss production levels (March 1st at 13:30 GMT)

Eight OPEC+ members (including Saudi Arabia and Russia) will hold their monthly meeting to discuss and set voluntary production levels. According to reports, the cartel will consider a modest increase in output for April. OPEC paused output increases over the past three months- the last addition to production levels was in November, representing an increase of 137,000.

  • US ISM Manufacturing PMI (February) (March 2nd at 15:00 GMT)

The ISM Manufacturing PMI previous print was 52.6. The number was higher than the expected 48.5.

  • Retail Sales in the US (January) (March 6th at 13:30 GMT)

Month-over-Month Retail Sales was at 0.0% in December, which was lower than the expected 0.4%.

  • Bank of Canada (BoC) Meeting (March 18th at 14:45 GMT)

The Bank of Canada will meet to set interest rates. They are currently 2.25% after a rate cut of 25 basis points in October. In January rates were left unchanged. The bank is most likely to keep rates unchanged.

  • US Federal Reserve (Fed) meeting and press conference (March 18th at 18:00 GMT and 18:30 GMT)

The Federal Open Market Committee of the U.S. The Federal Reserve will conclude its 2-day meeting to decide on interest rates. The current rate is 3.75%, after a 25-basis point cut in December. Analysts expect the rate may remain at 3.75%.

  • Bank of Japan (BoJ) Meeting (March 19th at 04:00 GMT)
