- REVENUE: Micron revenue jumped to $37.4 billion in fiscal 2025, up around 50% from 2024’s $25.1 billion. Around 56% of its total revenue came from the AI and data centers segment, with record sales of HBM memory chips. Micron is expected to increase its revenue by fiscal 2028 to around $54 billion, which is an increase of around 44% from its 2025 revenue figures. - BOTTLENECKS: A bottleneck is the slowest part of a system that limits how fast everything else can work. A bottleneck is the slowest, most limited part of AI systems, and right now that bottleneck is memory, which is why Micron is so important.
- A.I. SYSTEMS HAVE 3 MAIN PARTS: If any one of these is slow or limited, then the whole AI system slows down

- MEMORY (MICRON’S DRAM and HBM): It holds data that the AI chip needs
- POWER AND NETWORKING: electricity and data movement.
- IMPORTANCE OF MEMORY: Modern AI models use massive amounts of data, and they need that data instantly, not slowly. Even if we had the fastest AI Chip, if the memory chip can’t feed data fast enough or is not large enough, the AI chip becomes useless.

- HIGH-BANDWIDTH MEMORY (HBM): This chip sits right next to the AI chip and feeds data extremely fast, removing the “waiting” problem. Without it, the AI training is slow, or data centers become less efficient.
