- Tesla produces several Electric Vehicles (EVs), including the Model 3, Model X, Model Y, Model S, and, since recently, the Cybertruck. Tesla also delivers the Semi-Truck.
- STOCK INDEX PARTICIPATION: Tesla stock is part of both the NASDAQ 100 (USA100) index and the S&P 500 (USA500) index.
- MARKET SHARE: Tesla is still the largest seller of pure battery-powered Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the world and an absolute leader in the US (taking up around 50% market share).
TESLA: EVENTS
- EVENT (EXPECTED: FIRST WEEK OF JUNE 2025): TESLA IS SET TO LAUNCH ROBOTAXI SERVICES IN AUSTIN, TEXAS, IN JUNE. A new era is set to begin for Tesla in early June of 2025. Tesla's autonomous Robotaxi project will start off with 10 cars in the first week of June, with a gradual scaling to 20, 30, 40, aiming to reach 1,000 within months. The robotaxi car will start with the “Model Y”, equipped with a forthcoming version of FSD, or full self-driving, known as FSD Unsupervised.
- EVENT (EXPECTED: BY THE END OF JUNE 2025): TESLA SET TO LAUNCH ITS AFFORDABLE “MODEL Q” BY THE END OF THE FIRST HALF OF 2025. According to City Magazine, Tesla plans to release more affordable Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the first half of 2025 while making major strides in its self-driving tech. The Full Self–Driving Technology is expected to be incorporated into the Model Q. Its range is expected to be up to 500 km. The new affordable Tesla will be an SUV and will cost around 30,000 dollars.
- OPTIMUS (HUMANOID ROBOT): TESLA IS EXPECTED TO CREATE THOUSANDS OF OPTIMUS HUMANOID ROBOTS IN 2025. Tesla is creating a robot that is powered by AI, can walk, climb stairs, lift and carry objects, sweep floors, handle automotive parts, as well as manipulate items autonomously. The Optimus robot has the ability to learn directly by observing humans doing a task. Tesla is expected to create 10 to 12 thousand robots this year. They are designed to perform tasks that are repetitive, dangerous, or undesirable for humans.
TESLA: CEO ELON MUSK RE-COMMITS TO TESLA
- ELON MUSK TO COMMIT FULLY TO TESLA: Elon Musk has announced on his media platform X that he will be back to spending 24/7 on his companies, even going so far as to sleep in the conference/server/factory rooms. Elon Musk, who spent nearly $300 million to back US President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, said that he will cut his political spending substantially.
TESLA: TRADE NEWS
- BREAKING (MAY 12): US AND CHINA AGREED TO SLASH TARIFFS. Washington and Beijing reached a breakthrough deal in Geneva to cut mutual tariffs after months of escalation. The US will reduce tariffs on Chinese imports from 145% to 30%, while China will lower tariffs on American goods from 125% to 10%. The agreement takes effect immediately and will last for an initial 90-day period.
TESLA: RECENT PRICE ACTION
- TESLA’S STOCK PRICE HIT A NEW ALL-TIME HIGH IN LATE 2024: $487.99. The current stock price is around $350, and if the price moves to its recent all-time high levels, this would be a price change of around 40%. However, the price could decline as well.
- WEDBUSH ANALYST DAN IVES RAISED ITS PRICE TARGET FROM $350 TO $500. According to the Economic Times, Analyst Daniel Ives is optimistic, setting a $500 price target as he believes CEO Elon Musk is refocusing on Tesla. Mr. Ives sees a "golden age" for Tesla in autonomous driving.
- ANALYST OPINION: Wedbush $500, Fubon Securities $470, Morgan Stanley forecasts $410, Piper Sandler forecasts $400.
