In European trading, the euro advanced against the US Dollar, trading above the 1.1600 mark.
The EUR/USD rose in the European session as the euro recovered from yesterday’s dip following higher than expected eurozone producer price index data, lowering the odds of interest rate cuts by the ECB in the near future. In the Eurozone Services PMI for August was released with data lower than expected (50.5 realised vs 50.7 expected) and Eurozone Producer Price Index data came out with data being higher than expected (0.2% realised vs 0.1% expected). In the US, JOLTS Job Openings for July (7.390 mln exp) will be released (15:00 GMT+1).
