The Euro tumbled on Friday after the Greenback recovered from yesterday’s tumble. It is currently 1.21032. Germany’s Import Price Index for January rose 1.9%, Month-over-Month, and fell 1.2%, year-over-Year. Both figures beat their consensus forecasts of 0.9% and -2.1% respectively. French Consumer Spending for January fell 4.6%, Month-over-Month. Analysts had predicted a drop of just 3.5%. France’s 4th Quarter GDP fell 1.4%, Quarter-over-Quarter, just a tenth worse than the -1.3% that had been expected. France’s CPI fell 0.1%, Month-over-Month, and rose 0.4%, Year-over-Year. The United States will report Personal Spending for January, Chicago PMI for February, and Michigan Consumer Sentiment numbers later today.
