The British Pound traded sideways, keeping to a tight range on Wednesday. It is presently 1.41346. UK GDP for the 1st Quarter fell 1.6%, Quarter-over-Quarter, and fell 6.1%, Year-over-Year. The former beat its estimate by one-tenth of a percentage point, the latter was as expected. Manufacturing Production in the UK for March printed at 2.1%, Month-over-Month. The consensus forecast was 1.0%. The United States will report CPI figures for April this afternoon.
