During European trading, the British Pound decreased against the US Dollar, trading below 1.2500 levels.

The currency pair has been struggling following gloomy projections by the Bank of England for future growth and the necessity of future rate cuts. In the UK, no major data releases will be posted today. In the US, Michigan Inflation Expectations for January (3% last month) will be posted today (16:00 GMT).
