The US Dollar decreased against the Turkish Lira during the European session, trading below 35.9900 levels.
The USD/TRY has been falling since this morning following good industrial production data and statements by Turkey’s Central Bank that the policy rate could become restrictive again if inflation shows a rising trend again. In Turkey, Industrial Production data for December was released showing better than last month’s results (16.60 % vs 1.00%). In the US, Michigan Inflation Expectations for January (3% last month) will be posted today (16:00 GMT).
