During European trading, the British Pound decreased against the US Dollar, trading below 1.2900 levels.

The GBP/USD currency lost ground in the European trading session, as safe haven demand rose for the dollar, following global trade tariff insecurity. In the UK Halifax House Price Index data for March was released with data being lower than expected (-0.5% realised vs 0.2% expected). In the US, CB Employment Trend Index data for March (108.56 last month) will be posted (15:00 GMT+1).
