During European trading, the British Pound edged lower against the US Dollar, trading below the 1.3600 levels.
The GBP/USD currency traded downward in the European Session, as worse than expected PMI data came out of the UK. In the UK, Services PMI came out with data being lower than expected (51.2 realised vs 52.8 expected), Manufacturing PMI came out with data higher than expected (48.2 realised vs 47.9 expected). In the US, Initial Jobless Claims data (227k exp) will be released (13:30 GMT+1), Manufacturing PMI (52.7 exp) and Services PMI (53.0 exp) data for July will be released (14:45 GMT+1).
