In European trading, the US Dollar rose against the Canadian Dollar, trading above 1.3900 levels.
The USD/CAD currency pair advanced in the European Session as the US dollar strengthened following lower odds of an interest rate cut by the FED and higher odds of an interest rate cut by the Bank of Canada, which is creating negative pressure on the Canadian dollar. In Canada, Retail Sales data (1.3% exp) will be released today (13:30 GMT+1). In the US, FED Chair Jerome Powell will speak at Jackson Hole Symposium at 15:00 GMT+1.
