In European trading, the US Dollar retreated against the Canadian Dollar, trading below 1.4000 levels.
The USD/CAD currency pair was weaker in the European session ahead of the interest rate decision by the FED happening today and an interest rate decision by the Bank of Canada happening also today. In Canada, the Bank of Canada will announce its interest rate decision (cut of 0.25% to 2.25% expected) will be released (14:00 GMT). In the US the Fed Interest Rate Decision for (cut of 0.25% to 4.0% expected) will be released (18:00 GMT).*
