In European trading, the US Dollar pushed higher against the Canadian Dollar, trading above 1.4000 levels.
The USD/CAD currency pair was on the rise in the European session as the US dollar strengthened ahead of new labor data coming out of the US, which is set to clarify the FED’s near future decisions. In Canada, Housing Starts data for October (269.5k exp) will be posted (13:15 GMT). In the US, Industrial Production data for October (0.1% last month) will be revealed (14:15 GMT) and Fed Vice Chair for Supervision Barr will speak (15:30 GMT).*
*The government shutdown has now concluded, but most US Government data will still be delayed. Non government US data will be released as normal.
