The US Dollar retreated against the Japanese Yen in the European session, trading below 152.00 levels.
The USD/JPY traded lower in the European Session, as the current interest rate cut cycle by the FED is expected to intensify following Jerome Powell's speech and the anecdotal evidence by the FED’s Beige Book. In Japan, Core Machinery Orders for August came in lower than expected (1.6% realised vs 4.8% expected). In the US, the Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing index for October (9.1 expected) will be released (13:30 GMT+1).*
