The US Dollar retreated against the Japanese Yen in the European session, trading below 157.00 levels.
The USD/JPY traded lower in the European Session, as sources in the Bank of Japan have come out and said that the Bank is preparing for an interest rate hike as soon as possible, creating positive pressure for the yen. In Japan, Bank of Japan Core CPI data came in on target at 2.2%. In the US, Q3 GDP figures (3.8% previous) and Initial Jobless Claims (220k prev) will be posted (13:30 GMT+1). Core PCE Price Index data for September (0.3% exp) will also be released (15:00 GMT).*
