The US Dollar rose against the Turkish Lira during the European session, trading above 38.4900 levels.
The USD/TRY volatile currency pair continued to trade close to a more than one month high in the European session, despite this morning’s slightly lower than expected inflation data (37.86% vs 38.0%) as Turkey continues to grapple with rising prices. In the US, S&P Global Services PMI for April (51.2 expected) will be released (14:45 GMT+1) and ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI for April (50.8 exp) will be posted (15:00 GMT+1).
