The US Dollar climbed against the Turkish Lira during the European session, trading above 40.40 levels.
The USD/TRY pair extended its gain, as monetary instability and long - term double digit inflation are creating negative pressures on the lyra. In Turkey, Manufacturing Confidence for July came out with data being lower for this month than the month before (100.2 realised vs 100.3 expected). In the US, Durable Goods Orders data (-10.4% exp) will be released (13:30 GMT+1).
