The Australian Dollar climbed against the US Dollar during Asian trading above 0.6500 levels.
The AUD/USD currency continued to rise and peaked at a two week high this morning with the Aussie receiving support from higher than expected inflation data lowering the chances of an imminent rate cut. In Australia, there are no data releases scheduled today. In the US, Core PCE Price Index figures for July (2.9% exp) and Chicago PMI for August (46.6 exp) will be posted (14:45 GMT+1).
