The Australian Dollar advanced against the US Dollar during Asian trading above 0.6500 levels.
The AUD/USD currency pair inched upwards following speech from RBA Governor Bullock outlining that although inflation was slightly above expectations, its longer term trend is positive. In Australia, RBA Governor Bullock spoke this morning (02:00 GMT+1). In the US Fed Member Daly spoke (02:40 GMT+1) and Michigan 1 year inflation Expectations for October (4.7% exp last month) will be released (15:00 GMT+1).*
*Most US Government data will not be published (or will be delayed) because of a government shutdown. Non government US data will be released as normal.
