The Australian Dollar was down against the US Dollar during Asian trading below 0.7000 levels.
The AUD/USD currency pair retreated from yesterday’s three year highs in the Asian session even after the release of stronger than expected inflation linked data this morning. In Australia, Q4 Producer Price Index data came in at 0.8% vs -1.1% expected. In the US, Producer Price Index data for December (0.2% exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT) and Chicago PMI for January (43.5 exp) will be released (14:45 GMT).
