The US Dollar was up against the Turkish Lira during the Asian session above 43.40 levels.
The USD/TRY currency pair jumped to a fresh record high in the Asian session as the Turkish national currency remained under pressure due largely to high inflation levels. In Turkey, Trade Balance data for December (-9.4 bln exp) will be posted (07:00 GMT). In the US, Producer Price Index data for December (0.2% exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT) and Chicago PMI for January (43.5 exp) will be released (14:45 GMT).
