In Asian trading, the Euro fell against the US Dollar, trading below the 1.1800 mark.
The EUR/USD declined following the Fed’s 25 basis point rate cut yesterday and it signalled that it was likely to continue lowering borrowing costs for the rest of the year. and appeared set to break a four day winning streak that has seen the pair rise to its highest level since 2021, ahead of the expected Fed rate cut this evening. In the Eurozone ECB President Lagarde will speak (08:10 GMT+1). In the US, Initial Jobless Claims data and Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index data for September (1.7 expected) will be released (13:30 GMT +1).
