During Asian trading, the British pound declined against the US Dollar trading below 1.34000 levels.
The GBP/USD edged lower, but traded in a band in the Asian session after yesterday’s one week low, with markets looking ahead to the Bank of England meeting. In the UK, the Bank of England will set interest rates (cut of 25 bps to 3.75% expected) at 12:00 GMT. In the US, CPI Inflation data for November (3.0% last month) and Initial Jobless Claims data (236k last week) will be released (13:30 GMT).
