In Asian trading, the US Dollar edged lower against the Canadian Dollar, trading below 1.3600 levels.
The USD/CAD remained close to yesterday’s three week low on hopes that announced trade deals may signal that tensions over potential higher tariffs may be avoided for many countries, including Canada. In Canada, Retail Sales data for May (-0.9% exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT+1). In the US, Initial Jobless Claims data (227k exp) will be released (13:30 GMT+1), Manufacturing PMI (52.7 exp) and Services PMI (53.0 exp) data for July will be released (14:45 GMT+1).
