The US Dollar traded higher against the Japanese Yen in Asian trading above 147.80 levels.
The USD/JPY pair extended its rise to post an almost one week high in the Asian session as uncertainty over the next interest rate hike by the Bank of Japan continued. In Japan, 10 year JGB Auction data (1.462% last month) will be posted (04:35 GMT+1). In the US, Manufacturing PMI for August (53.3 exp) and ISM Manufacturing PMI for August (48.9 exp) will be released at 14:45 and 15:00 GMT+1 respectively.
