The US Dollar declined against the Japanese Yen in Asian trading below 148.10 levels.
The USD/JPY pair weakened slightly despite political uncertainty in Japan after Prime Minister Ishiba announced his resignation over the weekend. after mixed Japanese data did not make a major impact on the currency pair in the Asian session. In Japan, GDP for Q2 came in at 0.5% vs 0.3% expected. In the US, CB Employment Trends Index for August (107.55 last month) will be released (15:00 GMT +1).
