The US Dollar declined against the Japanese Yen in Asian trading below 158.70 levels.
The USD/JPY slipped to a one week low in the Asian session as markets look towards Thursday’s Bank of Japan interest rate decision, expected to hold rates at 0.75%, with the bank likely to signal elevated energy prices as a downside risk. In Japan, Foreign Investments in Japanese Stocks (385.5 bln prev) will be released (23:50 GMT). In the US, the Fed will meet to decide on interest rates (3.75% expected - unchanged) at 18:00 GMT.
