Early reports are that it is highly infectious. They said its booster dose carries genes that specifically target mutations in the new variant.
- GOVERNMENTS WORLDWIDE CONTINUED TO RELY ON VACCINES: Covid vaccines are proving to be effective at lowering the severity of the disease. Given a choice between economic lockdowns and vaccine mandates, most governments are choosing the latter. There are reports that the effectiveness of the vaccine wanes after time. This gives rise to the demand for boosters. Demand for Covid vaccines and boosters may continue to be strong for some time.
- MODERNA PRICE ACTION: The stock traded last 54% below its recent all-time high ($498.28). In addition, since late June 2021, the stock has maintained strong support at $200 a share.
