EUR/USD Weekly Special Report Based on 1 Lot Calculation:
CENTRAL BANKS:
- WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 AT 19:00 GMT+1: US FEDERAL RESERVE INTEREST RATE CUT DECISION. PRESS CONFERENCE AT 19:30 GMT+1. The benchmark interest rate currently stands at 4.5%, and according to market expectations, it is expected to be cut to 4.25% on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The Federal Reserve faces growing pressure to ease policy as the U.S. labor market shows clear signs of weakness. This could put negative pressure on the US dollar and, in turn, support the EUR/USD price.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
- LONGER-TERM UPTREND: EUR/USD has been respecting a well-defined ascending trend line since early 2025. The line (blue) has consistently provided support during pullbacks, and the broader trend remains constructive as long as price holds above this level.
- KEY MOVING AVERAGE (MA) SUPPORTS: EUR/USD remains above both the 20-day (red) and 100-day (green) moving averages. The 100-day and 20- day MA confirm the underlying positive structure. Holding above both moving averages keeps sentiment positive. However, this trend can also change if prices fall below the 20- and 100-Daily Moving Averages.
- ANALYST OPINION: JP Morgan forecasts 1.20 by the end of 2025 and 1.22 in early 2026.
