It also enables advertising and marketing customers to promote their brands and services to users. As of December 2021, Weibo has reported 573 million monthly active users. This makes it the second most used platform in China, behind only WeChat, which has 1.2 billion monthly users. However, Weibo has 248 million daily active users, the highest in China.

Recently, the Chinese government announced that it will loosen regulation for the technology sector in China, and has urged its investment funds to buy and support stocks within that sector, creating a favorable environment for Weibo to grow further.

EVENT: Q4 Earnings - Weibo beat Q4 revenue expectations reporting $616.28m vs 609.29m expected. Net Income reported $195.50m vs $191.86m. This revenue gain represents a Year-on-Year growth of 20% for the fourth quarter.

ANALYSTS OPINIONS: Jeffries has a price target of $58, Bank of China target is $55.20 while Credit Suisse is targeting $40. The Bloomberg Analyst Consensus has an average price target of $38.45.
