In European trading, the euro rose against the US Dollar, trading above the 1.0280 mark.
The currency pair was trading in a band after this morning’s session following cooler inflation from the US and more rate cuts anticipated by the ECB given Europe’s weaker economic outlook. In Europe German CPI Inflation data for December was posted showing results in line with expectations (2,6%). In the US, Retail Sales data for December (0.6% expected) and Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index data for January (-5.2 exp) will be released (13:30 GMT).
