The US Dollar fell against the Japanese Yen in the European trading session, trading below 155.7 levels.
USD/JPY fell in reaction to a number of comments from BoJ officials that seem to point to a high likelihood of a hike at the upcoming bank meeting. In Japan, Foreign Investments in Japanese Stocks data (-74.0 bln last month) will be posted (23:50 GMT). In the US, Retail Sales data for December (0.6% expected) and Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index data for January (-5.2 exp) will be released (13:30 GMT).
