During European trading, the British Pound fell against the US Dollar, trading below 1.3550 levels.
The GBP/USD currency traded lower in the European Session as a barrage of negative economic data came out of the UK, creating negative pressure for the pound sterling. In the UK, GDP data for April (-0.1% exp) and Manufacturing Production data for April (-0.8% exp) came out with data being lower than expected (-0.3% and -0.9% realised, respectively). In the US, Year on Year PPI Inflation data for May (2.6% exp) and Initial Jobless Claims data (241k exp) will be released (13:30 GMT+1).
