The US Dollar advanced against the Turkish Lira during the European session, trading above 39.19 levels.
The USD/TRY currency pair advanced higher as Turkey’s chronic inflation problems persist as well as mixed Industrial production reports coming out of Turkey. In Turkey, Industrial Production data for April came out with data being lower for this month than the month before (-5.20% for this month vs 10.60% for the previous one). In the US, Year on Year PPI Inflation data for May (2.6% exp) and Initial Jobless Claims data (241k exp) will be released (13:30 GMT+1).
