During European trading, the British Pound rose up against the US Dollar, trading above 1.3100 levels.
The GBP/USD traded in a band in the European session, following a weakening dollar and a pound unable to capitalise on it following disappointing GDP growth data from the UK. In the UK, YoY GDP data came out with data being lower than expected (1.1% realised vs 1.4% expected). In the US, Initial Jobless Claims data (218k last week) will be released (13:30 GMT).*
