In the European session, the German Benchmark Index traded above 18,800 levels.
European markets edged higher in morning trade on Monday, recovering from a strong run of gains that faltered at the end of last week. The regional Stoxx 600 index opened near the flatline before climbing 0.07%.
Germany’s DAX, the U.K.’s FTSE 100, and France’s CAC 40 were all approximately 0.25% higher.
Global markets were buoyed last week by U.S. inflation data for April that was softer than expected, raising hopes that the U.S. Federal Reserve might cut rates later in the year.
