The US Dollar retreated against the Japanese Yen in the European trading session, trading below 147.00 levels.
The USD/JPY decreased in the European Session, as labor market data was published in Japan, showing lower than expected unemployment and rising odds of a BoJ interest rate hike. In Japan, Tokyo Core CPI for August came in line with expectations (2.5%) and Unemployment rate with data lower (2.3% realised vs 2.5%). In the US, Core PCE Price Index figures for July (2.9% exp) and Chicago PMI for August (46.6 exp) will be posted (14:45 GMT+1).
