The US Dollar was higher against the Turkish Lira during the European session, trading above 41.00 levels.
The USD/TRY pair rose in the European session as high inflation is creating negative pressures on the Turkish lyra. In Turkey, the Unemployment rate was published with data being lower for this month than the month before (8.0% this month vs 8.4% previous month). In the US, Core PCE Price Index figures for July (2.9% exp) and Chicago PMI for August (46.6 exp) will be posted (14:45 GMT+1).
