The US Dollar rose against the Japanese Yen in the European session, trading above 150.00 levels.
The USD/JPY traded upward in the European session, following the formation of a new Japanese government and its focus on expansive fiscal and lighter monetary policy, creating anticipation of fewer interest rate hikes in the near future by the BoJ. In Japan, Household Spending for August came in higher than expected (2.3% expected vs 1.4% expected). In the US Trade Balance data for August (-61.20 bln expected) will be posted (13:30 GMT+1).*
