The British Pound USD currency pair moved slightly lower to 1.3761 during the Asian session. The Pound fell sharply on Friday afternoon. There was no significant economic data out of the UK on Friday, but fears of renewed economic restrictions due to a resurgence of virus cases helped push the Pound lower. In the United States, Retail Sales for June were higher than expected. Retail Sales rose 0.6%, Month-over-Month, and Core Retail Sales climbed 1.3%, Month-over-Month. The Michigan Consumer Sentiment for July missed its forecast of 86.5, coming in at 80.8.
