The Pound dollar currency pair inched lower during the Asian session. The pair is trading at 1.2344. Positive economic data published yesterday supported British currency. Data showed wage growth picked up more pace in the three months to November, while employment rose by a faster-than-expected 27,000. Today important inflation data for december will be published. The US dollar remains under pressure as the Fed approaches the end of its rate hike cycle as inflation in the US heads lower. PPI report and retail sales number for December will be published in the afternoon hours.
