The US Canadian Dollar edged upwards during the Asian Session. The pair is trading at 1.3498. Inflation during December fell from 5.8% to 5.4% below expected 6.1% while housing starts decreased from 263K to 248.6K and below expected 257K. The US dollar remains under pressure as the Fed approaches the end of its rate hike cycle as inflation in the US heads lower. PPI report and retail sales number for December will be published in the afternoon hours.
