During Asian trading, the British pound increased slightly against the US Dollar trading above 1.2480 levels.
Since yesterday, the currency pair has traded in a band with markets waiting for important jobs data from the US to be published. In the UK Bank of England Deputy Gov Woods will speak (10:05 GMT). In the US, ADP Nonfarm Employment for December (136k exp) and Initial Jobless Claims (214k exp) will be released (13:30 GMT).
