During Asian trading, the British pound climbed against the US Dollar trading above 1.3400 levels.
The GBP/USD currency pair continued higher after hitting a three year high yesterday after UK inflation came in above expectations potentially reducing the scope for anticipated interest rate cuts in the coming months. In the UK, Services and Manufacturing PMI for May (50.0 and 46.2 respectively expected) will be posted (09:30 GMT+1). In the US, Initial Jobless Claims (230k exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT+1), Manufacturing PMI for May (49.9 exp) and Services PMI for May (51.0 exp) will be released (14:45 GMT+1).
