During Asian trading, the British pound rose against the US Dollar trading above 1.3300 levels.
The GBP/USD was on course to break a six day losing streak in the Asian session with expectations growing that the Bank of England may not cut rates in November, but might do so in December. In the UK, CBI Distributive Trades Survey data for October (-28 expected) will be published (11:00 GMT). In the US Durable Goods Orders data for September (-2.7% last month) will be posted (12:30 GMT).*
*Most US Government data will not be published (or will be delayed) because of a government shutdown. Non government US data will be released as normal.
