Lower-than-expected inflation data and mostly positive corporate earnings lifted all three major U.S. stock indexes to all-time closing highs on Friday, setting the stage for next week's earnings reports and an expected interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve.
On Friday the S&P 500 advanced 0.70%, the Dow Jones increased 1.01% and the Nasdaq gained 1.15%.
