The US Dollar climbed slightly against the Japanese Yen in Asian trading above 154.00 levels.
The USD/JPY struggled to rise despite a softer greenback in the Asian session, as expectations continued that the Bank of Japan will keep rates unchanged on Thursday. In Japan, Trade Balance data for November (-688.9 bln expected) will be posted (23:50 GMT)). In the US, Retail Sales for November (0.5% expected) and Industrial Production PMI data for November (0.1% exp) will be released at 13:30 GMT and 14:15 respectively.
