The US Dollar increased against the Turkish Lira during the Asian session, above 36.000 levels.
The USD/TRY currency pair pushed higher and appeared set to hit another record high after doing so in yesterday’s session as concerns continue about high inflation in Turkey. In Turkey, Yearly Retail Sales data for December (16.4% last month) will be released (07:00 GMT). In the US, Fed Chair Powell will testify before Congress today (15:00 GMT).
