  • THE COMPANY: The Boeing Co. is an aerospace company, which engages in the manufacture of commercial jetliners and defense, space, and security systems. Boeing is the 4th biggest company in the sector with 11% of the market share and $72.2B in market capitalization.
  • EVENT: EARNINGS REPORT for Q2 ON JULY 27. Revenue is expected to rise for the first time since the final quarter of 2018 due to a recovery in demand for commercial aircraft after last year's Covid crises. Analysts expect a sharp rise in deliveries compared to the year ago quarter but still below the pre pandemic levels.
  • Boeing deliveries reached the highest monthly level since March 2019. The deliveries announced on July 12, showed 121 jets delivered in Q2 compared to 95 in the Q1. The 737 Max deliveries were 100 jets, up from 81 in the first quarter. The number of military aircrafts was 40, compared to 41 in the first quarter.
  • NEW ORDERS: Delta Air Lines plans to buy 100 Boeing 737 MAX 10 jets worth about $13.5 billion and has options to buy another 30, the company stated on Monday. Lufthansa might also order another around 10 large Boeing freighters. ANA HOLDINGS, Japan-based holding company principally engaged in the aviation business, on Monday formalized an order for 20 737-8 airplanes, with 10 options in addition to the airline's selection of the new 777-8 Freighter. 777 Partners (Miami-based private investment firm) announce new order and commitment for up to 66 737 MAX Jets. According to Boeing, the new order and commitment takes the total order book up to 134 models in the 737 MAX family.
  • ANALYST OPINION: JPMorgan target $188, RBS Capital target is at $220 on the stock. Citigroup at $209, while Morgan Stanley’s at $230 a share. AVERAGE BLOOMBERG ANALYSTS’ CONSENSUS is $214.48 a share.
  • STOCK PRICE ACTION: Boeing’s stock made its highest level since 2000 of $446.01 in January 2019. Since then the stock price fell 80% to $89 in March 2020. Currently it trades around 70% below the record high level. If a full recovery follows, the stock could increase around 201.9%.
