GER40:
- The GER40 represents the DAX 40 in Germany, which includes companies such as Adidas, Bayer, Mercedes-Benz, Deutsche Bank, Siemens, BMW, E.ON, etc. In essence, GER40 includes the most valuable and advanced companies in Germany, the largest economy in Europe.
GERMAN ECONOMY AT ITS BEST SINCE LATE 2022
- BREAKING (AUGUST 25): GERMAN GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT (GDP) ROSE BY 1% IN Q2. The German economy grew by 1% in the second quarter, marking its strongest growth rate since late 2022. The recent improvement in the German economy could further support the GER40 price.
GERMANY
- GERMAN GOVERNMENT UNVEILED 34- POINT ECONOMIC REFORM PLAN. Germany’s government introduced a 34-point economic reform plan to boost growth, improve competitiveness, reduce bureaucracy, lower energy costs, and attract investment.
- POSITIVE IMPACT ON GER40 PRICE: The reform plan could support the GER40 as investors view measures to strengthen Germany’s economy and improve growth prospects positively.
EVENTS:
- THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 AT 07:00 GMT+1: GERMAN INFLATION (CPI) (AUGUST). German inflation currently stands at 2.9%. However, a lower-than-expected reading could support the GER40.
- THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 AT 10:00 GMT+1: EUROZONE INFLATION (CPI) (AUGUST). Eurozone inflation currently stands at 3.3%. However, a lower-than-expected reading could support the GER40.
EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK (ECB):
- THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 AT 13:15 GMT+1: EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK (ECB) INTEREST RATE DECISION. The ECB is widely expected to raise rates by 25 basis points in September from the current deposit rate of 2.25% to 2.50%.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS:
- UPTREND: The black trendline shows that GER40 prices have entered an uptrend since March 30, 2026, which has also served as a key support zone. However, there remains a risk of a potential breakout below this level if market conditions change.
- THE GER40 HIT AN ALL-TIME HIGH OF 26,649 (AUGUST 12, 2026). The GER40 currently trades around 25,830, up around 5% this year. However, the price could also decline.
